Mike and Lisa have lived in Leesburg, VA since 2001. We married almost 30 years ago and have three boys.
Mike started his career in the U.S. Army after graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He also earned an MS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers where he led construction projects in the Pacific Rim including Hawaii, Thailand, Laos, and the island nation of Tuvalu. After the Army, he joined a consulting company and retired after 25 years as an Engineering Director. He had the pleasure to serve Federal Government departments and agencies in designing and developing programs such as satellite communications and cyber security systems.
Mike has been doing DIY, woodworking, and furniture refinishing projects for more than 30 years. He learned much of his knowledge and skills from his father, his time in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, by doing extensive projects around his house, and through research. Along the way, he acquired a large collection of tools that he is now able to apply to customers’ projects.
When his youngest son once asked why he likes being a handyman, Mike replied, “Because I like fixing things and I like helping people.” He is very grateful to the customers who have entrusted him to help them around their homes.

Lisa is a full-time mom raising our three sons. She is also a clinical psychologist having earned her PhD from Catholic University and BS from Vanderbilt University, both degrees in psychology.
Lisa manages scheduling for both our family and business and enjoys working with customers to set up projects and solicit feedback. She also shares design ideas as customers look to improve their homes.
